POSITIONS AVAILABLE

  1. EVENT CREW

    Our event crew (set up and take down staff) position is to join an invaluable crew who arrive before events to set up all décor items, and return after the event to remove all items and restock them upon returning to our warehouse.

    This is a very physically demanding position. Event season is APRIL – OCTOBER, with opportunity to continue work after the season with additional hours.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Able to safely lift at least 50 pounds

    • Able to navigate stairways

    • Work fast-paced while paying attention to detail

    • Able to take direction and work well with others in a high stress, fast paced setting

    • Available evenings and weekends

    • Reliable

    • Committed to excellent performance

    COMPENSATION + SCHEDULE

    PAY: Position is Part-Time; pay commensurate with industry experience

    SCHEDULE: Hours vary; typically this position requires long hours on weekends. Event crew members also can help in the warehouse during the week based on need.

  2. EVENT DESIGNER

    The Event Designer oversees and directs all aspects of an event’s scenic décor design, planning, and production. This encompasses client meetings and idea conception, proposal creation and budgeting, project pre-production, installation and completion.

    ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Meet with clients, listen for and ask questions to understand design needs, style, and budget

    • Create tablescapes, design elements and examples in real-time listening for feedback and approval

    • Draft design proposal, according to budget, using inventory software

    • Research design ideas and compose design board for client and Bliss team (Coordinators, Floral, Assistants, Crew Lead)

    • Create floor plans (potentially measuring space and utilizing online programs to input dimensions and interpret in 2D form)

    • Communicate and collaborate with Coordinator + vendors; ensure specific specifications are well understood, maintain specs for floorplans, ceiling plans, elevations, etc.

    • Manage additional outside rentals (lighting, dishware, tents, furniture, props, etc.) including budget, invoices, timelines and event-day execution

    COMPENSATION + SCHEDULE

    PAY: Position is Part-Time or Full Time, according to Event calendar and availability; pay commensurate with industry experience.

    SCHEDULE: Will work a variety of hours around client needs (evenings, and required Event Days/Weekends)
