POSITIONS AVAILABLE

  1. EVENT PLANNER

Event Planners provide all logistical planning, management, and Event Day execution of various types of events, to include: weddings, galas, fundraisers, grand openings, award dinners, celebration of life, parties, retreats, etc. 

Minimum 2-year industry experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Point of contact for clients; attends meetings with clients, serves as liaison between client and all vendors, venues, and the Bliss Design team

  • Adapts to meet client needs; including schedule, communication, availability, etc.; Responsible for knowing and understanding clients’ vision, needs, scope of event, etc.

  • Supplies total logistical planning services to client throughout planning timeframe

  • Manages vendors, clients, complex logistics and coordinates with people

  • Creation, management and organization of Event Day activities, flow, timelines, etc.

  • Executes Events as required; may include multiple days depending on Event

  • Provides creative solutions to problems as they arise

  • Reads and understand contracts to assist client as necessary

  • Represents Bliss Events in a positive and professional way at all times

 COMPENSATION + SCHEDULE

PAY: Position is Part-Time or Full-Time based on Event calendar and availability, pay commensurate with industry experience: $17.00-$25.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Will work a variety of hours around client needs (evenings, and required Event Day/Weekends)

Hired on project basis, planners are assigned to clients according to their:

  • Experience

  • Poise and characteristics matching client need and scope of event

  • Availability

  • Continuing education

  • Drive and commitment to team

2. DAY-OF COORDINATOR

Day-Of Coordinators help execute a client’s vision during their event. Primarily, the Day-Of Coordinator will meet with clients and provide limited planning assistance while providing full Event Day support to execute the client’s planning.

 Day-Of Coordinator positions are excellent opportunities for someone looking for additional side income, evening/weekend work, part-time professional and creative outlets.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Interacts with clients; attends meetings with clients

  • Adapting to meet client needs; including schedule, communication, and learning the clients’ vision

  • Provides limited planning services to clients starting three months prior to Event Day

  • Manages vendors, clients, complex logistics and coordinates with people

  • Creation, management and organization of Event Day activities, flow, timelines, etc.

  • Executes Events as required

  • Provides creative solutions to problems as they arise

  • Read and understand contracts to assist client as necessary

  • Represents Bliss Events in a positive and professional way at all times

COMPENSATION + SCHEDULE

PAY: Position is Part-Time; pay commensurate with industry experience

Flat Rate for Events plus hourly consulting rate for consulting done for assigned client outside of package parameters

SCHEDULE: Will work a variety of hours around client needs (evenings, and required Event Day/Weekends)

3. EVENT DESIGNER

The Event Designer oversees and directs all aspects of an event’s scenic décor design, planning, and production. This encompasses client meetings and idea conception, proposal creation and budgeting, project pre-production, installation and completion.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Meet with clients, listen for and ask questions to understand design needs, style, and budget

  • Create tablescapes, design elements and examples in real-time listening for feedback and approval

  • Draft design proposal, according to budget, using inventory software

  • Research design ideas and compose design board for client and Bliss team (Coordinators, Floral, Assistants, Crew Lead)

  • Create floor plans (potentially measuring space and utilizing online programs to input dimensions and interpret in 2D form)

  • Communicate and collaborate with Coordinator + vendors; ensure specific specifications are well understood, maintain specs for floorplans, ceiling plans, elevations, etc.

  • Manage additional outside rentals (lighting, dishware, tents, furniture, props, etc.) including budget, invoices, timelines and event-day execution

COMPENSATION + SCHEDULE

PAY: Position is Part-Time or Full Time, according to Event calendar and availability; pay commensurate with industry experience.
